SALT Talks: Are There Alternatives to Guardianship?

The SALT TALK series is an online transition series virtual format modeled after the SALT School to Adult Life Transition Series. This monthly series provides learning opportunities, along with resources and guidance, to families of children with disabilities so that they can successfully navigate the transition from school to adult life.

During this virtual session Josh Young, Project Coordinator for Supported Decision Making ONI (Ohio Network for Innovation), and Courtney Hineman, Butler County Community Outreach Advocate, will discuss guardianship and other alternatives for individuals with developmental disabilities. Participants should come prepared to learn what guardianship is, what other options exist, a better understanding of the laws and new standards, the rights that people with disabilities have, and much more!

All are welcome to attend! CEUs have been approved for those with an SSA certification who attend the full session. If you requested CEUs, you should receive your certificate of completion approximately two weeks after the session. Please email your request to prtpattis@gmail.com.
