SALT Talks Live – Navigating the SSI & SSDI Process

The SALT Talk LIVE series is an in person transition series virtual format modeled after the SALT School to Adult Life Transition Series. This monthly series provides learning opportunities, along with resources and guidance, to families of children with disabilities so that they can successfully navigate the transition from school to adult life.

During this LIVE session at the Greene County Board of DD, keynote speakers Theresa Busher and Kelly Draggoo, Public Affairs Specialists for the Social Security Administration, will discuss how to qualify for SSI and SSDI as well as how to apply for those benefits. Participants should be prepared to learn the difference between SSI and SSDI, what age and when it’s appropriate to apply, work incentives, Disabled Adult Child (DAC) benefits, the application and appeals process, and much more!

All are welcome to attend! CEUs have been approved for those with an SSA certification who attend the full session. If you requested CEUs, you should receive your certificate of completion approximately two weeks after the session. Please email your request to prtpattis@gmail.com.
