SALT Talks – Making Budgets Work and Debt Management

SALT Talk is a monthly series that provides learning opportunities, along with resources and guidance, to families of children with disabilities so that they can successfully navigate the transition from school to adult life.

During this virtual session you will learn budgeting and how to organize money from experienced financial planners and parents. Guest Speakers will include Gina Schenk and Kristina Markiewicz from Modern Woodmen Financial Representatives. Participants should come prepared to learn how to identify personal obstacles when budgeting, how to track, analyze and manage spending, the importance of reducing and building a savings, the most common types and reasons for debt, key debt management strategies, and how to create a personal plan for managing debt.

Certified SSA’s can receive approval for 1.5 CEU’s upon request for attending the full session.
