BCBDD Celebrates Grant Award Secured by Lynne Hibbard

The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities (BCBDD) is proud to recognize Lynne Hibbard, HRIS Administrator, for her outstanding initiative and dedication in successfully applying for and securing a grant through the Oxford Chamber of Commerce.

Through the Chamber’s James Robinson Business/Organization Member Grant program, BCBDD was awarded funding to support technology enhancements that will strengthen employee training, internal communication, and professional development across the organization.

Lynne led the grant application process on behalf of BCBDD, identifying an opportunity that directly aligns with the organization’s mission of continuous improvement and quality service. In her application, she explained that, “The funds will be used to purchase two television display screens to enhance internal communication, employee training, and professional development within our organization.”

“When we encountered our fiscal emergency, we believed any opportunity to move forward with that purchase was no longer possible,” Lynne said. “Despite this setback, it remained important for me to apply for this grant because of our strong commitment to delivering exceptional human resource experiences for both new and current employees, as well as strengthening training for our frontline staff!”

The awarded funds will be used to purchase two television display screens that will be installed in key departments to improve staff engagement and learning experiences.

One screen will be placed in the Human Resources Department to support new employees’ onboarding, benefits education, policy communication, and compliance training. Lynne noted the screen would help present resources “in a clear and engaging format” and “improve the onboarding experience, increase information retention, and ensure consistent communication of critical organizational policies and procedures.”

The second screen will be installed in the Service and Support Administration (SSA) Department, where it will be used for staff development meetings, case management collaboration, and training presentations. Lynne shared that the visual format will “improve engagement, strengthen understanding of complex information, and support ongoing professional development for SSA staff.”

She also emphasized the broader impact the project will have on the organization, writing that the grant would “significantly enhance the quality of employee interaction, training, and communication within our organization.” She added that the investment would help build “a more informed, efficient, and well-supported workforce.”

This achievement reflects the innovation and leadership BCBDD employees bring to their work each day. Lynne’s proactive efforts not only secured valuable resources for the agency but also demonstrated the power of community partnerships and strategic thinking.

Please join us in congratulating Lynne Hibbard on this accomplishment and thanking the Oxford Chamber of Commerce for investing in organizations that make a difference in our community!
