How can you get involved?
Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Volunteers offer the extra caring touch that makes a difference in the life of a community.
The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities offers volunteer opportunities for community, high school, and college students who enjoy giving back to the community. The agency is looking for people who are flexible, creative, and dedicated to working with individuals with disabilities.
The agency needs volunteers to provide the means for each individual with developmental disabilities to realize his or her potential. The agency utilizes volunteers to supplement the efforts of paid staff and to provide the extras which enhance all our lives.
Volunteer opportunities are tailored to match the interests of community members willing to assist people served by our agency. Whether your interest is in assisting children, adults and seniors or if you have a special skill to share, the Board welcomes you as a volunteer.
As a volunteer, your first contact will be through the Community Resource Coordinator who will process your application, conduct your initial interview, and refer you to the program which best meets your needs as a volunteer. You will be provided with an orientation to the agency and on-going training opportunities throughout your volunteer experience.
All applicants must be at least 16 years of age and/or complete a background check to volunteer at any Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities location. To print volunteer application, click here. (pdf)
