Behavior Supports Services
Behavior Support Services develops behavior programming that is consistent with the Ohio Department of DD Behavior Support Rule. The Butler County Board of DD’s primary goal is to meet the health and safety needs of individuals we serve across all DD programs (childhood through adulthood), using positive behavior supports. The Behavior Support division includes the Family Focus Program, Classroom Consultant, Community Behavior Supports, and Behavior Supports in County operated Day Habilitation programs.
Behavior Support Services uses a variety of assessment tools in an attempt to determine the motivation behind the undesired behavior, and to track trends and patterns. We have information about and suggestions for an array of diagnosis, including Autism, ADHD, Mental Health Disorders, and more. This information is available to the public at the Behavior Support Services Library located at the Janet Clemmons Center office.
Behavior Support Services believes in working with a Team of people to help support individuals. We rely on the knowledge and expertise of others to assist us in developing positive programming to teach people more appropriate ways of communicating their wants and needs. We also support the families and staff working with the individuals to learn better ways of interacting. We can also provide training to other agencies.
All services are available through a referral process.
