The mission of Aspen Community Living is to provide care of the highest possible quality, service that exceeds each individual's expectation, a high caliber of direct care professionals, ethical practices, confidentiality, 24-hour access to staff, safety and security in homes, and personalized care. Aspen Community Living has been providing service to Butler County individuals for seven years. The agency provides service to more than 100 individuals in Ohio and Kentucky. Aspen Community Living is a corporate for-profit provider agency.

Services provided
Aspen Community Living currently provides IO Waiver (Homemaker/Personal Care) services to 10 individuals living in Butler County. The agency serves one individual for Level 1 Homemaker (Homemaker/Personal Care) services, one individual for Planned Respite Care, one individual for Emergency Respite Care, and 13 individual are offered transportation services. The agency is accepting new referrals for the following services: IO Waiver (Homemaker/Personal Care), Level 1 Homemaker (Homemaker/Personal Care), Foster Care, Licensed Group Home, ICF/MR, Planned Respite Care, Emergency Respite Care, Leisure/Recreation and Transportation.

Experience
Aspen Community Living has experience providing services to children and adults with the following: mental retardation and/or developmental disability: autism, brain injury, hearing impairment, behavioral challenges, cerebral palsy, medically fragile, mental illness, physical impairment and/or visual impairment.

Direct Service Staff Information
Aspen Community Living employs 33 full-time employees. The pay range is $9.00 to start and the agency offers employees health insurance and paid vacation time. The direct service staff at Aspen have at least six months of experience in the field, and are certified in CPR and first aid, and also have CNA or STNA certification. The staff reports to the office for one day and is in homes two or more days. Staff that provide transportation have auto insurance and an updated driving records check. Drivers are also covered under the agency auto policy. Standard requirements for all direct service staff include a background check, a nurse aid registry check and an abuser registry check. Staff are given, on average, two in-service training hours per month.

Certification
Aspen Community Living is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities as a Supportive Living Provider, an Individual Options Waiver Services Provider, a Level 1 Waiver provider, and a Transportation provider for Supported Living.
