Training
There are specific ongoing training requirements, based on services you are certified to provide. Training is available through a variety of sources, as listed below. Agency providers are required to provide training for their employees.
Annual Requirements for All Direct Service Staff/Independent Providers
- Incidents Adversely Affecting Health and Safety (MUI/UI) including a review of health and welfare alerts issued by the department since the previous year's training
- The Rights of Individuals set forth in sections 5123.62 to 5123.64 of the Revised Code
- The Roles and Responsibilities of direct services staff with regard to services including person-centered planning, community integration, self-determination, and self-advocacy
