Strategic Plan

The Butler County Board of DD is guided by a Strategic Plan, which is a five-year plan to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In the Strategic Plan we outline the services we provide, the critical issues affecting the individuals and families, the goals and strategies to address those issues and a review of how we have met the goals of the previous Strategic Plan.

The Strategic Planning Process

February to May 2009
Butler County DD staff planned and organized opportunities for people to share their interests and ideas.

May 18-19
The executive team (comprised of Board members and members of management) as well as parents, individuals served by the Board, and community members met May 18-19 for a two-day intensive planning session. During the planning session a set of strategies was drafted.

June and later
After the session there will be an opportunity to gather feedback and response to the drafted strategies. A finalized plan will be approved in the fall.

Stakeholders Say newsletters?

Every week during the planning process a newsletter called "The Stakeholders Say" was published and sent out via email. The newsletter included current planning information, upcoming meeting dates, and feedback received during the information-gathering sessions. Click on the links below to download the newsletters.
