The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities operates on a $28 million budget.

QUICK FACTS:

75 percent of the Board's total budget comes from a tax levy. The Board was last on the levy in 2004.

Our Board has operated with 3 mills of taxpayer funds for 29 years.

In the last five years, the Board has brought $250 million into Butler County from services provided or purchased.

For every $4 the Board spends of local tax dollars, $6 in federal funds are used to provide Medicaid services so people with disabilities are able to live, work and lead meaningful lives in Butler County.

This graph shows that we spend 81% of our budget on DIRECT expenditures, meaning we spend those funds directly on supports and programs for people with developmental disabilities. We spend 19% on NON-DIRECT EXPENDITURES.
